Cindy passed away peacefully on February 5, 2014 after an extended illness. She was born to Jack and Dorothy Wood in Denver, CO on August 8, 1948. Cindy worked as a semi driver for Safeway for 8 years and then was promoted to management of Safeway Trucking, until the company closed. Cindy finished her career as a chauffeur, driving stars for several major movies. She was a member of Teamsters since 1977.
One of Cindy's favorite joys was family get-togethers. She was always looking forward to the next one. Some of the things that Cindy enjoyed doing included decorating, floral arrangements, sewing and putting together photo albums. She loved her horse and dogs. She was a loyal contributor to many charitable organizations. Cindy was a proud member of AA for 43 years.
Cindy is survived by her sister, Bobby (Jess) Johnson; nieces Debby (Bill) English, Misty (Matt) Friend; and her great-niece, Katy English.
As per Cindy's request, cremation will take place under the direction of Larkin Mortuary, with no services to follow.
Cindy's family would like to thank her caregivers at Legacy Hospice, especially Alan, Stephanie and Kim.
