Paul Luther Tuttle

1928 ~ 2018

Today we lost a great man.

Paul Tuttle passed from this world Monday, Aug. 20th.

He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Paul grew up in Manti, Utah where he quickly learned to be independent, industrious and creative.

Because of life circumstances, he was raised by his father, with help from his aunts.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a machinist on the aircraft carrier, USS Boxer. In February 1948, he married Barbara Anderson and they were later sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had 7 children: Paula Sue (deceased), Pam (Mark) Hains, Fred (deceased/Mary) Tuttle, Jinnie (Michael) Edgar, Jan (Jerry) Jackson, Steve (Lori) Tuttle, and Greg (Kari, deceased) Tuttle. Paul and Barbara have 22 grandchildren, and 57Ω great-grandchildren, with one great-great-grandchild on the way.

Following the passing of Barbara, Paul married Jackie Woods in December 1980, and stepped in to be a father, mentor, teacher and grandfather to her five children: LouAnn Redick(deceased), Louis Rushano (deceased), Marie Brown (deceased), Bobby Rushano, and Renee Edwards. Jackie and Paul have 7 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Paul was an artist and master mechanic, always creating things and tinkering in his shop. He wasn't happy unless he was doing something. He exercised regularly, even up to the end of his life. He was strong, patient, generous and loving - ready and willing to give to friends, neighbors, and family. He was a dedicated and loving friend, father and family man.

Paul was a teacher. He made sure all his kids knew how to change a tire and helped his sons build cars and taught many other life skills to each of them. Golfing and camping at Round Valley were his passion. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, skiing and other outdoor activities with family and friends.

Paul worked for Carleson Cadillac for 54 years. He was a master mechanic, the best there ever was! After retiring from Carleson's at the age of 72, he worked for the Utah Auto Auction until he was 86 years old. He loved his work.

Paul will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. We love you dad.
