  • Aaron Nelson Williams passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Thursday, August 18, 2022. Aaron was a fiercely devoted dad to his two sons Calvin and Charlie. As a little boy, Aaron had read the Calvin and Hobbs comics and related to the humor and antics of the characters. He gave his first son the name of Calvin in honor of one of his favorite characters. When another son was born Aaron and Mary let Calvin choose a name for his little brother and thus the name Charlie was given. They will miss the way he cooked eggs in the morning, wrestling with them, his killer spaghetti, watching a movie, coaching the soccer team, and playing with his third son, Otis.

He was a caring and loyal son to his parents. Aaron was a kick to raise with his quick wit, boundless energy, and his big ideas. He spent years with his dad working pinewood derbies around the valley. His mom will miss his all-encompassing bear hugs accompanied by “I love you” spoken in her ear.

As a brother, Aaron protected his sisters and relied on their close bond. Though he was the younger brother he had such a keen intellect and clear way of thinking that it was easy to turn to him for advice.

Aaron never met a stranger, as the saying goes. In any situation, the people he was near soon became friends for life. His friends were another family and each one was his best friend. There was nothing like being part of one of Aaron’s jokes and then listening to him laugh at the fun of it all.

He was an avid sports and outdoorsman. The gym became a regular hangout. He was healthy and fit and enjoyed a strenuous work out whether it was a Spartan race or a challenging hike.

The people who will miss him most are his sons Calvin and Charlie Williams, mom and stepdad Karen and Guy Standing, dad Timothy Mormon Williams, sister and brother-in-law Kirstie and Jeff Lovell, sister and brother-in-law Mandy and Ken Cooper, nephews and nieces Henry, Sydni, Lucy, Owen, Frank, Lydia, and Jack, his sweetheart Christin Arnold, many aunts, uncles, cousins, his dog Otis, and many friends. His younger brother Tim Williams proceeded him in death.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 29 at 12 o’clock at the Sandy West Stake Center, 220 E 8670 S, Sandy. Utah. Viewings will be held Sunday, August 28 from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 10 to 11:45 o’clock at the same chapel.

In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe account has been set up for Calvin and Charlie. To donate, please use the following link: https://gofund.me/5a937b4c
