Ada Mae Snow, 92, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2023, surrounded by family.

Ada was born February 23, 1931, to Ray Edward and Winnie Elaine Tucker Ollis in Salt Lake City, UT. She was born on the kitchen table; her mom said she was so tiny she could have fit in a quart jar. Although premature, Ada was strong and that strength remained with her through the very end.

Ada grew up with her 3 sisters- Betty, Bonnie, and Patsy. When she was 12 years old, her father passed away, and this was very hard for her. At age 16, she began working full-time as a cost accountant and then payroll clerk at Purity Biscuit Company in Salt Lake City while attending night school to graduate from West High. Ada met her sweetheart, Keith, and they loved to go dancing to the live big band music at Lagoon. She and Marvin Keith Snow married on August 20, 1954, in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Ada was a wonderful wife, and mother to her 3 children- Steve, Janice, and Deanne, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren loved to spend weekends at her home, talk on the phone with her for hours, and enjoy picnics with Grandma in the treehouse. She played games and taught them to crochet and to make pancakes for scout campouts. Ada loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and painting, and made the most delicious rolls, pies, cookies, and sweets. Many happy memories were made at her house doing family activities such as backyard barbecues, Thanksgiving feasts, Christmas Eve celebrations, and Sunday dinners. Ada was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and remained faithful to her testimony. She served in many callings including ordinance worker in the Draper Temple.

Ada will be greatly missed by her son and daughters, Steven K. (Valene) Snow of Layton, UT, Janice Snow of Herriman, UT, and Deanne (Scott) Hathaway of Orem, UT, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Bonnie Martinez and Patsy Passey. She is preceded in death by her husband, Keith, parents, and sister, Betty Burnett.

Her family would like to give a special thank you to Fairfield Village of Layton and Inspiration Home Health for the very loving care you gave our mom.
