Alexander Durrant

1928 ~ 2023

Alexander Durrant left this world on June 30, 2023, to join his beloved Donna Rae (Dina) who passed away May 25, 1996. Alex was born Jan 6, 1928 in Rock Springs, WY, to Philip and Dolores Durant. He was a World War Il veteran, and also served in the Korean War. He continued with the military after he left the Army to serve as a civilian for the Army Reserves at Fort Douglas.

He was a member of the American Legion for most of his life.

Alex is survived by his sister Dorothy Shober and brother Jay (Socorro) Durant. His sons David (Carol), Ron (Joye) Wadsworth. He had 11 grandchildren, Kevin (Barb), Gregg (Jenny), Dusty (Kris), Angie (Rod) Aimee, Jody and Todd, 28 great grandchildren, and 20 great-great grandchildren, and a large number of extended family who lovingly called him grandpa.

Funeral services will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple in Salt Lake City. Viewing will be Sunday, July 9 from 6-8 p.m. A viewing will also be held on Monday, July 10 from 10-10:45, with a funeral at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bluffdale.

May Christ who was crucified for you bring you freedom and peace. May Christ who died for you admit you into his garden of paradise. May Christ, the true Shepherd, acknowledge you Alex as one of his flock. May he forgive all your sins, and set you among those he has chosen.
Amen…….. My heartfelt condolences to all of his family, Mr Durant was a kind and awesome soul, May you find peace that he is resting in the arms of his creator.
