My heart felt condolences go out to DeVon’s family, what a truly great man with an impeccable legacy, I am honored to have known him, even if only for a short time.

I’ve known your dad for about 55 years. I fondly remember swim gatherings and nice visits.
It was so special to be with your parents while I was in the choir. Oh I miss your mom. Your dad became a great friend to our daughter who would come from the UK to visit us. He would welcome her to each practice and broadcast. He and I had a tender talk it seems like just yesterday. He opened his heart to me.
Much love from someone who loved being near your dad❣️ Ann Swensen (Sweeney)

I am so sorry I wasn't able to attend the funeral because I can't drive anymore; but I want your family to know how much I loved your parents. Both Rita and DeVon were special friends and I have such wonderful memories of both of them. Stay close to each other and remember their lives and what they meant to you.

I just learned of DeVon's passing. I have been out of the Tabernacle Choir circles for about 9 months now so I did not hear about the funeral today until a member of the Choir called me on his way home from the service. I am so sorry I missed it.
I loved working with DeVon for about 6 years. As President of the Choir, he and I had many opportunities to visit, to laugh together and solve problems. Lucie and I loved your parents. They were so wonderful and I will always recall going into the baptistry of the Copenhagen Temple and seeing their faced included in the murals there. We recall enjoying dinner in their home and the love we always felt from them. I am so saddened at his passing but I am sure he and Rita are enjoying their companionship once again.
