Amanda Michelle Harding, Amy to those who knew and loved her died June 9, 2025, of complications from Lupus. Amy was born in Murray, Utah on July 11, 1976. In 1989 she moved with her family to Bellevue, Washington. She graduated from Interlake High School in 1995 and went on to earn an associate’s degree in Fashion Marketing from Seattle Art Institute. Her real passion was caring for people young and old so she later earned her Medical Assistant’s degree. She worked at Group Health in Bellevue, WA before returning to Utah where she worked at Intermountain Healthcare with her close friend, Dr. Mark Lee. Upon her return to Utah she met the love of her life, Ryan Harding. Ryan brought two children to their marriage which gave Amy great joy, she loved being a mother and was elated when Shaylee asked if she would adopt her. Amy loved children and they loved her, she cared for different children throughout her life and kept in touch with many of them. She loved animals and they loved her, she had her own little backyard menagerie that included goats, duck, chickens and kitties. Her passion for flamingoes was undeniable, if they could live in Utah’s climate she surely would have had one.
Amy is survived by her loving husband Ryan Harding, her daughter Shaylee Harding, her parents Steven and Becky Anderson, her grandparents Verla Mortensen and Richard & Mildred Anderson, her brother Brad Anderson (Erika), her stepbrother Jared Anderson, her stepsister Julie Gedge (Kelsey), her little man Hunter Anderson, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and children who called her auntie. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Sonny Mortensen and her cousin Tyler Thornton.
Amy, you will be missed by all who knew and loved you.

Amy was my flamingo soul sister, and even though we had never met in person, there was an undeniable bond between us that started over our shared love of flamingos. Amy had a big heart and had a way of making you feel special and loved. I will miss chatting with her and will forever regret not meeting her in person. My deepest sympathies for her family and friends. You are greatly missed, my dear!
I am so sorry for this huge loss. What an amazing person your mom was and she was so welcoming to so many. My heart hurts for you all. Sending many prayers of comfort and healing! Kathleen
We are all so sorry for your loss. We are sending virtual hugs to her entire family. Our flamingo swap leader will surely be missed. She was a ray of pink sunshine in our group's lives. Stand tall Amy and send us a flamingo sign from above!!
Fly high my sweet flamingo friend. She made all our lives a little bit better every day and she will be missed by all who knew her. It was an honor knowing her and calling her my friend.
I never had the pleasure of meeting Amy. Facebook friends in a Flamingo lover group. She was always cheery and cared about her group. She will be missed.
On behalf of Amy’s Pink Feather Family, we loved her dearly and she always modeled our motto of “Kindness comes in Pink!” Most recently she and her family attended a group get together in San Diego, CA where we captured many fun photo ops amongst her treasured Flamingos and Peeps alongside her daughter Shaylee and husband, Ryan. She exuded love for everyone and especially for her close friends and family! She will be missed by all who knew her and we’ll do our best to carry on that Pink Flamingo Love 🦩!
This breaks my heart. I love you Amy. You are with those you love. Going to miss you so so much.
Although I never met Amy she was my flamingo sister. She was one of the most kind hearted loving person that I have ever known. Heaven has gained a beautiful flamingo and I am sure she will be watching down on all her flamingo friends! With loving sympathy to her family.

Amy - although we never met in person, it was wonderful having you as a flamingo friend. I loved receiving cards at my birthday and Christmas and enjoyed sending to you as well. So glad we got to know each other through our love of flamingos and hope that you are up in heaven surrounded by a whole flamboyance! Rest easy.
I never had the pleasure to meet Amy in person, just through the Flamingo group on Facebook but 1 thing in common as we are both LUPUS Warriors. I am deeply sorry for your loss and will always keep her in my thoughts and prayers. She will definitely be missed by all, shine on Amy.

Rita and I are so sorry for your loss. I only knew Amy through Facebook but still feel as I knew her personally.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I never met Amy in person but we were Flamingo friends and became Facebook friends. She did a great job as the Flamingo group admin. She made it fun. I loved seeing all her posts of her family, animals, and nature posts and pictures. She will be greatly missed. 🦩💕🙏🏻
I am saddened to read of Amy’s passing. As a patient of Dr. Lee’s for several years I was well taken care of by Amy. She went out of her way to be kind, understanding and incredibly helpful. When she told me she had Lupus I was somewhat surprised because she was so cheerful and efficient.
I send heartfelt sympathy for the loss of a great lady.
