Vester "Cree" Hilton of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away on January 17, 2020 surrounded by family and friends. She is our mother, grandmother, best friend, sister, cousin, comedian and host. Cree is celebrated for all the many things she taught people. Her love and wisdom and worth are comparable to none.
Vester was always her own person with a prowess that commanded attention and when she got it people listened. She was kindhearted, generous, compassionate and welcomed those around her into her heart and taught them to become better people and that it's okay to love themselves as they are. Cree made everyone feel as though they had purpose and she earned the respect of everyone she encountered. Her sense of humor will be dearly missed but not forgotten.
Vester is survived by her son, Warren (Dena), five grandchildren: Jennifer, Tishelle, Mykel, Sari, and Ziah as well as her brothers: Gerald, Micheal, and Paul and her sisters: Ora "Kitty" and Nelsena "Nellie". She is preceded in death by her husband Neal, her parents Sylvester Temple and Laura Nell Casey, and her brother Lawrence Temple.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 6-8 pm at the Larkin Mortuary of Riverton, Utah, 3688 West 12600 South. A joyous celebration of life will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 7 p.m. at The Rock Church, 11630 South 700 East, Draper, Utah. All are welcome to attend both events.
