Beverly Dawn Benson

1931 ~ 2013

In so few words it is impossible to describe the depths of Beverly, not only her gifts and achievements but her unparalleled kindness for all living things. Such was this gentle kind lady who avoided attention, preferring to remain behind the scenes. There was nothing she couldn't do from upholstery to repair to stained glass work. She was the mother of all problem solvers!

Born to wonderful parents Margaret Ellis Bryan and Melburn Benson, Beverly was also raised by aunts and uncles, especially Dave and Ferne Jensen who adored her. She loved her Tooele and Southern Utah family and roots.

She was the first to graduate from the U, becoming a librarian and charming many students. Her devotion to her church was exemplary, but sometimes the Jazz came first.

She gained so many friends and blessings from volunteering at the Salt Lake Temple for years.

Beverly is survived by her cousins Carolyn Jensen and husband Ron who will miss her terribly. Other close cousins who adored and will miss her are Joyce Fox and Ruth and Rulon Skinner and their family.

She will go home to Tooele to rest next to her parents and the aunts, uncles and cousins who preceded her. She was a blessing to us all.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Salt Lake Little Cottonwood 1st Ward, 6350 South Rodeo Lane, Murray, Utah with a visitation one hour prior. Family and friends may visit Friday, November 15 from 6-8 PM at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South Salt Lake City, Utah. Interment will be at Tooele City Cemetery.
