Surrounded by her children, Ana Maria Alvarez passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday April 22, 2022 at a local hospital.

Ana Maria was born in Cuautla, Morelos, Mexico on September 1, 1942, where she lived for most of her life. Even though Ana Maria had many tribulations in her life, she always had a smile on her face. She was compassionate towards others and always made sure others had what they needed even if it was just a shoulder to cry on. Ana was the bond that held her entire family together and she was the one who gave strength to all of those around her.

Ana had many talents and interests in life which she pursued actively. She was particularly skilled at crochet, and she made many creative things for her friends, her kids, grandkids and for herself. She specially loved to make baby clothes and whenever a new grandkid would come to this earth she was already anticipating and making the blessing outfit. She was also an avid and talented cook who took great delight in creating wonderful feasts for her family celebrations.

Ana worked as a nurse for most of her life. She was a very compassionate and loving person towards those in her care. People around the neighborhood would always come to her to seek advice for their medical needs. She was proud of her IV skills and of her painless intramuscular injections. They never hurt and sometimes you would never even know she was done! Now that is talent!!

But her greatest passion in life was to be a mother. She worked hard as a single mother supporting her 5 children. She sacrificed her life for her family and her love for her children always triumphed even during hard times. She was the rock of stability for her family, and she will be tremendously missed.

She is survived by her 5 children Daniel Bucio Alvarez, Emilio Job Bucio Alvarez, Ruben Bucio Alvarez, Jorge Antonio Bucio Alvarez and Lila Cossette Bucio Alvarez. She especially loved all her 14 grandkids who affectionately knew her as “Ita.”

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, April 27, at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) Sandy, UT. A viewing will be held at 11am and a graveside service will begin at 12:00pm.

Rest in peace, Madre Santa, knowing that we love you and cannot wait to be reunited.

Ana María Álvarez Uribe, de 79 años, falleció tranquilamente mientras dormía el 22 de Abril de 2022 en un hospital local. El miércoles 27 de abril se celebrará una celebración de su vida en Larkin sunset Gardens en Sandy en 1950 E. 10600 Sur con una visita a las 11 a.m. y un servicio junto a la tumba de 12-12:30 Pm. Los servicios están bajo la dirección de Larkin Gardens 801-571-2771.

Ana María nació en Cuautla, Morelos, México, el 1 de septiembre de 1942, donde vivió la mayor parte de su vida. A pesar de que Ana María tuvo muchas tribulaciones en su vida, siempre tenía una sonrisa en la cara, era compasiva con los demás y siempre se aseguraba de que los demás tuvieran lo que necesitaban, incluso si era solo un hombro para llorar. Ana fue el vínculo que mantuvo unida a toda su familia y ella fue la que dio fuerza a todos los que la rodeaban.

Ana María tenía muchos talentos e intereses en la vida que perseguía activamente. Era particularmente hábil en tejer, e hizo muchas cosas creativas para sus amigos, sus hijos, nietos y para sí misma. Le encantaba especialmente hacer ropa de bebé y cada vez que un nuevo nieto venía a esta tierra ya estaba anticipando y haciendo el atuendo de bendición. También era una cocinera ávida y talentosa que se deleitaba mucho en crear maravillosas fiestas para sus celebraciones familiares.

Ana María trabajó como enfermera la mayor parte de su vida. Era una persona muy compasiva y cariñosa con los que estaban bajo su cuidado. La gente de todo el barrio siempre acudía a ella para pedir consejo para sus necesidades médicas. Estaba orgullosa de sus habilidades intravenosas y también de sus inyecciones intramusculares sin dolor. ¡Nunca duelen y a veces ni siquiera sabrías que había terminado! ¡¡Eso es talento!!

Pero su mayor pasión era ser madre. Ana María Trabajó duro como madre soltera apoyando a sus 5 hijos. Sacrificó su vida por su familia y su amor por sus hijos siempre triunfó incluso en tiempos difíciles. Fue la roca de estabilidad para su familia y la echaremos mucho de menos.

Le sobreviven sus 5 hijos Daniel Bucio Alvarez, Emilio Job Bucio Alvarez, Rubén Bucio Alvarez, Jorge Antonio Bucio Alvarez y Lila Cossette Bucio Alvarez. Y Ana María amaba especialmente a sus 14 nietos que cariñosamente le llamaban "Ita".

Descansa en paz, Ana María, madre santa, Ita querida, buena amiga, y mujer de fe! Sabiendo que te queremos y que siempre permanecerás en nuestros corazones y que no podemos esperar a reunirnos otra vez contigo!
