Directions to ServiceAnne Louise O’Connor Goff, known to most as Louise, Mom, Gram or Grammy, passed away on June 16th 2021, surrounded by family. She is finally on her journey home.
Louise was born in 1930, in Youngstown Ohio, to Vincent Jerome & Marian Elizabeth "Betty" O’Connor.
Louise’s parents moved the family from Ohio to Utah in 1942, where they made their home in Provo.
Louise met her husband Bud in 1950, & they were married in 1951, while Bud was on leave from the service in the Korean War.
Louise was blessed with 10 children; 5 boys & 5 girls. She was a kind and loving Mom; she really disliked the term “Mother”. Although often exhausted from the demands of her growing family, she was always able to care for the household, work outside the home and squeeze every nickel to keep them all fed, clothed and content. She somehow even had enough money left over for the annual family vacation. Even with her limited time, she still managed to be a dedicated volunteer at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Provo. We will miss her compassion, her willing advice and her devotion to us all.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 70 years Bud, her son John, & daughters Anne & Jeanne. She is survived by her children, Cris (Bill) Bogus, Bud (DeNise) Goff, Dot (Greg) Cohea, Barbra (Thomas) Marbury, Tom (DeeDee) Goff, Bob (Sharon) Goff, & Tony (Emmita) Goff, as well as numerous grandchildren, & great grandchildren.
A memorial service in Louise’s honor will be held on Wednesday, June 23rd at 11:00 a.m., at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, Utah. Following Louise’s memorial service, Louise and her husband Bud will be interred in the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo, Utah.
