Arthur Monte Anderson, 82, passed away August 15, 2022, in Columbus, Montana. Art was born in Moroni, Utah on August 10, 1940, the son of Kent Curtis and Sarah Elma Anderson.

Following his high school education, Art enlisted in the United State Marine Corps where he earned the rank of Corporal while serving at Twentynine Palms in California. After being honorably discharged, he met and married Diana “Diane” Lee Forister. Together they had two children, Andrea and Kent. He and Diane later divorced.

Art had many hobbies and passions in life. His love for his country never wavered in life. He loved different kinds of music, specifically those of old rock and country. He loved communicating with Ham radio, old cars with his favorite being the 1940 Ford Coupe. With his love of cars, he was often found at the car shows, circle racetracks and developed his would-be career working on cars. Being automotive and mechanically inclined, Art became worked as a heavy equipment mechanic/welder for more than 20 years. He then started his own cylinder head business, Anderson Cylinder Heads, which he loved for the last 20 years of his working career. He spent many hours traveling to automotive swap meets selling different chrome car parts while there. He loved spending time with his family and friends and always loved the hugs from his grandkids. In his retired years, he developed and enjoyed a love for gardening and would often be found out in the yard. His wonderful sense of humor and love for good food, especially Mexican, salmon, pizza and a good ribeye steak will be missed.

Art is survived by his daughter Andrea (Samuel Jr.) Venezio and son, Kent (Heather). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Kristie, Grant, Amanda, Samuel III, Tiffany, Vanessa and one great-grandchild, Ruth and his older sister J. Karen Korpi. He is preceded in death by his parents, and lifelong friends Jack Ralph and Tom Ferrando.

Graveside services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the Moroni City Cemetery in Sanpete County, Utah.
