Ashton Henderson, a beloved member of the community known for his immense love for family, insatiable thirst for knowledge, and kind-hearted nature, passed away on June 13, 2023 in Columbus, Montana. He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy that will forever live on.

Born on December 10, 2004, in Saint George, Utah, Ashton was a beacon of light in the lives of his family and friends. He approached every aspect of his life with unwavering passion and a genuine desire to learn and grow. Ashton had an unbreakable bond with his family, and his love for them knew no bounds. His compassionate and nurturing nature was evident in every interaction he had with his loved ones, always willing to lend a helping hand or provide a listening ear.

Ashton's thirst for knowledge was truly remarkable. He was a lifelong learner, possessing an intense curiosity, constantly seeking new experiences and perspectives. Furthermore, he possessed an incredible talent for languages and spoke Mandarin Chinese fluently, demonstrating his dedication to understanding and embracing different cultures. With an open mind and a humble spirit, he embarked on countless journeys of self-discovery, embracing the opportunity to expand his horizons and broaden his understanding of the world around him.

The great outdoors held a special place in Ashton's heart. Whether it was hiking through majestic mountain ranges, camping under the starry night sky, or simply appreciating the beauty of nature, he found solace and joy in the embrace of Mother Earth. The serenity and peace he found in the wilderness allowed him to connect with his inner self and appreciate the wonders of creation.

In addition to his love for nature, Ashton had a deep passion for music that resonated within his soul. He taught himself to play the guitar and banjo, weaving melodies that touched the hearts of those who had the privilege to listen. Music was not only a source of personal joy for Ashton but also a means to bring people together and create lasting memories.

Beyond his wide-ranging interests, Ashton was a Dungeon Master extraordinaire, immersing himself in the world of tabletop role-playing games. His creativity, storytelling skills, and ability to bring people together were evident in the joy and laughter shared by all who joined him on epic adventures.

Ashton's commitment to personal growth and service led him to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, a testament to his dedication, perseverance, and leadership. He embraced the values of the Boy Scouts of America and embodied them throughout his life, making a positive impact on those around him.

Ashton Henderson will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many. His boundless love, genuine kindness, and his thirst for knowledge will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his parents, Zachary Henderson (Kimberly Christensen) and Brandi Henderson (Heather Pongracz), his sisters Oakley, Rylee and Bentley Henderson, step siblings Ruby, Max and Hazel Larsen and Ruby and Tucker Brandon, as well as a wide circle of relatives and friends who will forever carry Ashton's memory in their hearts.

Viewing will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on July 1, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the East Millcreek Wardhouse located at 3750 South Hillside Lane, Salt Lake City, UT 84109. The family welcomes all friends, relatives, and community members to join them in paying their respects to Ashton during these designated viewing hours.

Following the viewing on July 1, 2023, a memorial service will commence, dedicated to celebrating Ashton's remarkable life. This service will be a heartfelt tribute, honoring his memory, and embracing the cherished moments shared with him. The service will take place at the East Millcreek Wardhouse.

The interment for family members will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery. This private gathering will provide an opportunity for close family members to bid their final farewell to Ashton in a serene and intimate setting.
