Aston Caleb Evenson (ACE), age 2, passed away in the early morning hours of February 10, 2024, in Lehi Utah due to medical complications. He was surrounded by his loving parents and kind medical staff at Westlake Emergency Center.

Our sweet peanut, Aston, was born on August 19, 2021. He came into this world his way with Corinne needing an unplanned c-section. He was the sweetest snuggle bug a parent could ask for at 6lb 8oz and 19 inches long. Corinne and Caleb loved watching him learn and grow. From silly newborn faces he would pull, learning to smile and laugh, rolling all over the place, to crawling and walking. At almost 2 months old is when Aston's medical journey began. He was diagnosed with a genetic mutation where his body stops creating elastin. This caused multiple parts of his heart to narrow and not function properly. During his short life he had multiple heart surgeries and procedures as well as issues with his colon, which added on abdominal surgeries and procedures. Corinne and Caleb spent a lot of time with him during hospital stays and follow-up appointments. They became honorary nurses by learning everything they could with each challenge and change to be able to care for Aston at home.

Even with all his medical issues he was the happiest kid. He didn't cry or complain in pain. He was determined to learn everything and live life as a normal kid. He wanted to play, laugh, snuggle, and smile through all of it. Which is exactly what he did. During the more stable periods of Aston's life his parents and sister did everything they could for him to have the most normal and wonderful life possible. They enjoyed going to Grizzlies hockey games, snuggling, playing with their cats (Ventress and Snips), having pillow fights, tickles, reading together, and playing Yoshi's Crafted World. Aston loved books, puzzles, any button (especially if it made noise), all the stickers, his dino and binky, and throwing anything and everything down the stairs (including cat beds, cat toys, ball pit balls, laundry, books, monster trucks, and truly anything he could get his hand on).

Aston also loved painting in the bathtub, putting anything on his car track, being chased and tickled, snuggling with one hand in his hair or yours while watching his shows, jumping on any and all surfaces or people, having snacks at all times, and playing with all the cat toys. He especially loved being as independent as possible while helping with laundry, cooking, and washing dishes. His love of ChapStick, cheese, chips, bananas, and mom/dads cereal and drinks were unmatched. Aston's love for learning his colors, animal sounds, and shapes was frustratingly fun. Most of the time he would grunt yell at you when you didn't tell him what it was he was pointing at immediately. Aston was a very determined, stubborn, caring, loving, and adorable punkadoodle. He knew what he wanted and he would make sure he got it by pulling your hand to get it for him or to have you play with him. His giggles, evil laugh, snuggles, infectious smile, hugs, mischievous grin, exhausting energy, squish squashes, and body slams are already very missed.

His body worked as hard as it could until it couldn't anymore. His sassy, fun, determined, and stubborn personality pushed on as long as his body would allow. His family would like to thank all of the nurses, doctors, surgeons, therapists, and medical staff that cared for him and helped him spend a little more time with his loved ones. Specifically, they would like to thank the following wonderful people: Dr. Jerry Jou, Dr. Rusty Eckhauser, Dr. Robert Gray, Dr. Nathan McArthur, Alicia Hill, Shawn Christensen, Dr. Justin Wheeler, Dr. Brian Bucher, Courtney Jones, Jamie Andrews, Belle Sepulveda, and his favorite nurse Auntie Miquelle King.

Aston is survived by: His loving parents Caleb & Corinne, adoring sister Lauren, his soon to be born little sister; His "Nana & Papa"; Cory & Jennifer Robison, Grandpa Richard (Danielle) Evenson; Aunts & Uncles, Cynthia (Kalon) Throop, David (Elyse) Evenson, Lacey (David) Bailey, Talin (Kenzie) Robison, Jenessa (Drue) Stritikus; Cousins, Anika, Kieran, Calvin, Zoe, Oliver, Kaelan, Beau, Ford, Banks; Great Grandparents Ned & Janet Wardle, Robbie and Marilyn Robison; Framily Miquelle (Robin) King, Ryan (Emily) Peek, Michael (Alisha & Danny) Denison, Scott Cleveland, Mark Palkki, along with extended family and many other friends who love him and his family.

In lieu of flowers his parents would like to donate books in his name. There will be a place to bring books during the viewing and funeral. If you would like to mail them to Caleb and Corinne, please contact them directly. Please bring only new books due to donation rules of multiple facilities. If you would like to bring some of Aston's favorite books for donation they are listed below.
