Diego Lloret

Sandy, UT- Diego, 93 passed away at his daughter's home in the loving arms of his children and his wife on November 9th, 2018. He was born on May 11, 1925 in the picturesque town of Altea, Spain to Jaime Lloret Zaragoza and Josefa Betagna Falgas Nomdedeu.

Diego moved to Argentina when he was 26 years old to find a better life and after a few years met our mother Maria Celina Paries, they were married in 1957 in the Baptist Church. He was a painter by trade but an artist at heart.

Their daughter Liliana Bunker (Lance) and son David (Darla) were born in Argentina. Diego knew he ultimately wanted to move to the United States and they worked for a year to accomplish this. In Los Angeles they had a second son Miguel (Julie) and worked hard to purchase their first home. Diego and Maria were hard workers and eventually they made the decision for his health to move to a dry climate. Utah became their new home in 1974.

Diego was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and he loved the gospel. He searched out the answers to his deep questions thru 11 different churches until he found what he was yearning for. He loved the church and was very active, continuously reading and learning. He was sealed to his family in the Los Angeles Temple in 1973.

Diego's wife, Celi passed away in 2007. After caring for Celi during 19 years of her being wheel chair bound Diego was devastated by her passing, however within 15 months he met, married and was sealed to Rosa A. Vasquez in December of 2008. They were able to travel to Spain several times, took a cruise, and also visited her family in Guatemala. They enjoyed many church, family and friend gatherings together. He leaves a multitude of friends behind that loved him dearly. Diego was very easy to love, gentle, honest, true to his word. He loved unconditionally, helped those in need and befriended everyone he met. He was positive, happy and funny.

Diego is survived by his 3 children and their spouses, his wife Rosa, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. A special thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice for their tender care.
