John Robert Kemp (Bob), born July 19,1936 in Draper, UT, to Johnny Kemp and Esther Kemp Gerona. He returned home to his heavenly father on August 1, 2013.
Bob worked for Kennecott Copper and retired after 32 years of service. Dad was a man who put his family first. He loved and had a spiritual connection to the outdoors, which he shared with his family. He is a faithful member of the LDS church, and has an abiding love for his Savior Jesus Christ. He was a strong man who was loved by all. We will miss his big hugs and contagious smile!
Bob is survived by his loving wife and eternal companion Susan, his children Robert, Kevin (Jennifer), Munzie, Karen, Barney (Jennifer), Leslie, twelve grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jeanie, and his parents.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at the Crescent Park Stake Center, 11350 S. 1000 E., Sandy, UT from 6:00 ‚ 8:00 p.m. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 10885 S. Pampas Dr. (835 E), Sandy, UT at 12:00 p.m. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made in John's name at any America First Credit Union in honor of John Robert Kemp to assist with expenses.
