Marion Kay Robison

1939 ~ 2015

Our beloved Marion (Kay) Robison- husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away suddenly on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 surrounded by his family. Kay passed away due to his declining health and complications as a result of heart problems. Kay was born on June 30, 1939 to Marion Y. Robison and Vanetta Adams Robison and was the second oldest of five children. Kay attended East High School and worked by his father's side in the flooring business until he graduated in 1958. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the Army and in 1959 he married Christina Stoffers and spent 32 years together raising four children. In 1971, Kay took over the family business and continued its success for over 45 years. He was instrumental in many organizations and associations which included the Fortune 18 Investment Club and the formation of the UFCA. Kay remarried in 1991 to Kathryn Edwards-Repka and they have been together for 23 years. Kay's passions were hunting, fishing, traveling, and golf. He enjoyed spending numerous Saturdays at the Alpine Country Club with his close friends. He also enjoyed spending every Fall hunting in East Canyon for over 57 years. He was a great friend to all and never hesitated to share his knowledge and expertise. He also had a great sense of humor and enjoyed the simple things in life. Kay loved his family and was always supportive to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all they did. Kay's family would like to thank the staff at Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital, Altaview Hospital Acute Care, Holladay Health Care and IHC Hospital for their exceptional care.

Kay is survived by his wife, Kathryn Robison, brother, Rex (Paula) Robison, daughters, Cindy (Randy) Kobs, Christy (Jeff) Flitton, Wendy Robison, son, Sonny (Tiara) Robison, step-daughter, Victoria Repka Geller, step-son, Trey Edwards, 14 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Vanetta, sister, Ida Faye Timpson, brothers, Mark Robison, Val Robison and grandson, Jeremy Kobs.
