Baxter Car Rosewood passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2023 in Honokaa, Hawaii. He was born September 18, 1986 in Roosevelt, Utah to Brad and Linda Goodrich Rosewood.
Baxter had many joys in life, each one evident in its own way. He loved his family and animals. He loved his dogs and taking them to work with him on the farm. He loved gardening and had a green thumb enabling him to make anything grow! Baxter had a great knowledge of macadamia nut trees and loved sharing his knowledge with those around him. He loved his time on the Hawaiian islands working the nut farms. He loved his new chainsaw and enjoyed clearing the fields to make room for new tree growth. He also gained skills with other pieces of equipment. This became particularly useful when things needed to be fixed as he was a natural handy man and problem solver. He was able to plan and make just about any repair needed. Baxter had a unique ability to think of solutions and designs that would be safe to say nobody else could or would ever think of.
Baxter enjoyed playing Xbox and other video games and often played with his brother and dad. He loved playing at the sand dunes, riding motorcycles, hunting and anything else allowing him to enjoy the outdoors. In fact, he often preferred working outdoors as it allowed him freedom and flexibility, rather than “working for the man.”
Anyone who ever had the chance to meet or associate with Baxter through friendship, work or family, you were sure to have felt his kind and loyal spirit and were likely one of the many recipients of one of his most genuine hugs. His powerful and lasting influence on his parents, grandparents and siblings, family and friends will be sure to guide them through the eternities.
Although he was blessed to endure many years of health complications and 3 different heart surgeries, his Heavenly Father felt it was his time to return home. His short time on this Earth left a lasting impact on anyone who had the opportunity to know and love him.
Baxter is survived by his wife, Torisha Drew Galloway Rosewood, parents Brad and Linda, siblings Bronson Nyle Rosewood (Amy and Aria) and Bailey Lyn Donohoo (Greggory), grandparents Gary and Nonalee Goodrich, nieces Aspen, Oakley and Tesla, as well as many aunsts, uncles cousins and friends who will miss him deeply. He is preceded in passing by his grandparents Sheldon Clyde Rosewood and Edith and Jewels Christensen.
Funeral services for Baxter will be held at 11AM MST on Monday, August 28, 2023 at the Larkin Mortuary – Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South in Riverton, Utah. A viewings will be held at the mortuary Sunday evening, August 27, 2023 from 6-8PM, as well as Monday prior to funeral services beginning at 10AM. Funeral services will be streamed via Zoom for those wishing to attend virtually.
Following services in Utah, Baxter will return to the Big Island for a Celebration of Life on the Island he loved so much.

Baxter was introduced to our family through our deep friendship of Tori, and her family. I was fortunate to meet and talk with the man that stole our Tori’s heart.
He was a wonderful soul- and the few times we met we knew what a kind of man he was.
Tori had found gold.
Tori and Baxters Family, I am so sorry for your loss, I send you all the love to help you through the journey bestowed upon you. I will remember his smile and the kindness that he gave to all. Hugs and prayers to all of you..
