Wanda Phebe Sheen

1926 ~ 2015

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend passed away on August 21, 2015 at the age of 89 in Draper, UT. She was born in Logan, UT on July 3, 1926 to John M. and Alice Naylor Andrews. She was a member of the LDS church.

As a child she worked on the family farm and learned the strong work ethics that she used throughout her life. She attended South Cache High School and shortly after graduation married Eugene W. Olsen. They had two daughters. They were later divorced. She married Glen Sheen in 1955 and they were later divorced.

At the age of 28, she relocated her family to Salt Lake City and became employed by Grand Central Drug (Fred Meyer). She retired at the age of 74 after 45 years of service. She was a hardworking, dependable and dedicated employee who rarely missed a day on the job.

Mom\s passions were working on projects in her home and growing beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. Her green thumb was large and her tomatoes were amazing! After retirement, she moved to Los Osos, CA to help her brother, Dale, who had lost his wife. For the next eight years, the two of them shared companionship and continued growing beautiful gardens together until his passing in 2009. She then returned to live in Draper, UT.

Mom always had a concern about her children's and grandchildren\s wellbeing and was ready to step up to help in any family crisis. Mom was a very caring and unselfish person. She could be a feisty little gal at times and tell you just what she thought and it wasn\t always good!

She is survived by her daughters Carol Muffett and Susan (James) Janisch , grandchildren, Greg, Robert, Michelle, Doug, Rob, Joshua and Jamie, great grandchildren Zachary, Michaun, Chase, Gage, Giselle, Porsha and Ciera, three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Dorothy, Ivy and Hazel, brothers Harold and Dale and son-in-law Douglas Muffett.

We would like to thank the staff and special caregivers at Assisted Living of Draper for their kindness and compassionate care they gave to our \"Mom.\" We also wish to thank One Care Hospice for their involvement in her end of life care and the kindness and respect shown to her.

Mom\s wishes were to have a viewing for family and friends. The viewing will be held from 11:30am-12:30pm on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. Graveside services will follow at 1:00pm.
