Benjamin J. Santistevan

Benjamin "Ben" Santistevan, age 79, passed away on May 30, 2026. Ben was born March 3, 1947 in Denver, Colorado to Benustiano Santistevan and Eulogia Lydia Martinez (née Garcia).

From an early age, Ben developed an amazing work ethic. He was a man who believed in doing things right, bringing an inspiring level of dedication and integrity to everything he set his mind to. In his free time he enjoyed old movies, music, and working on electronics.

In 1993, Ben married the love of his life, Melinda. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with shared devotion until her deeply felt passing on November 27, 2024. After a year and a half apart, Ben is now peacefully reunited with his beloved wife.

Ben is survived by his step-son Mike Marcovecciho and step-daughter Jessica (Travis) Atencio; his grandson Dominic Atencio, and granddaughters Chanda Atencio and Jasmyne Borden; his three great-grandchildren; and his siblings Criselda Von Wald, Doris Navarro, Thomas Martinez, and Michael Martinez.

Ben was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Melinda, and his parents.

Ben will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A viewing will be held Thursday, June 11 at 12:00 PM followed by a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens (1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd, Sandy, Utah).
