Benjamin (Ben) Jay Hendry passed away on June 2, 2024. He was born to Bette Hendry on January 24, 1957, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ben’s great love was music and disco. He obtained a degree in broadcasting and worked as a DJ at the Broadway Disco in the 70s. He also loved his sports cars, 280Z and Fiero, particularly using them to drive too fast.
Ben was a model in his younger years and his hair was a point of great pride for him. He loved going shopping with his family, dancing, roller skating, swimming, and playing tennis. He always knew what to say to help others, was a great father and a great friend to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
Ben is preceded in death by his mother Bette Jane Hendry and his grandparents, Ida and Paul Hendry. He is survived by his daughters, Lawny Hendry, Rose Davies (Hugo Perez), and Anna Gibby, and his ex-wife Karen Davies.
A viewing will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.) in Sandy, on Friday, June 7, from 6:00-8:00 PM.
I met Ben over a week ago at the Arthofit gym for the first and only time. He talked about his mother taking him to concerts when he was younger, music and life. He was definitely a memorable guy and my sympathies are for his family.
I'm Sorry for your loss ., Rose I know how much he meant to you.💙💐🪴
I’m very sorry for your loss. I know how difficult it is to lose someone you loved
It is reassuring to know that he will not suffer any more in his mortal body, and that his spirit is in a better place.
Keep your good memories with your father alive and know that he did his best in this life
Have a peaceful day
