Benjamin Royal Thompson age 34, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday June 24th in his home in Centerville Utah. He was born on Jan 10th, 1989, in Salt Lake City Utah to Mark & Lisa (Gardner) Thompson. He leaves behind his dearly beloved wife, Morgan Thompson and beautiful baby boy Reed Royal Thompson, sister Felysha Lilley, (Eric) and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Ben married his wife Morgan in Hyde Park, Utah, September 12th, 2020. They welcomed their son, Reed, on July 15th, 2022.

Our Gentle Giant Ben loved his beautiful wife, baby Reed and family deeply. He enjoyed deep conversations and cooking for others. He was a breakfast connoisseur!! Ben was fond of boating, sailing, snowmobiling and especially camping. If you needed a camping gadget, he had it. Ben loved a good party and was the shining light at every gathering and made everyone smile. He was a giver and protector of anyone in need.

In 2008 Ben graduated from Mountain Crest High School in Hyrum Utah. He then entered the workforce in construction where he became a skilled welder on high pressure gas lines for Dominion Energy. Ben was good at pulling pranks and was very skilled with his hands.

He will be missed by so many because he loved so many. He had a big heart that lives in each of ours. Until we meet again.

A rosary will be said on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Hyde Park, UT. All are welcome.

The funeral Mass and Celebration of Life reception will be at St. Olaf Catholic Church, Bountiful, UT on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to join us for both the Mass and the Celebration of Life following the Mass.

My deepest heart felt Condolences, I meet Ben at work and right away developed a bond that was special.
Ben always was willing to give me a hug and I appreciated that. Ben impressed me in so many ways he always question everything and viewed the world in a different way. Ben's intelligence was far above his education, so when he talked we listened. I loved Ben and am sad he is gone. I know he is in heaven and free of earthly pain. I will miss you Ben God Bless.

Sharing our Catholic faith and service with Mark and Lisa has been a beautiful experience. From the Knights of Columbus to singing with Lisa strumming the guitar... there are years of memories here. Levi (our son) and Ben played football "against" each other. We had so much fun at the games and always respected both those boys commitment and athleticism. We are very proud of Ben, his lovely wife and beautiful son and the life he made on this big blue ball. "May you find peace in this time of sorrow. May Christ, the Resurrection and the Life, send comfort to your hearts." Keith and Carolyn Koskan
