In Loving Memory: July 18, 1950 – March 26, 2026
Bethea Binkerd, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on July 18, 1950, in Kanab Utah to Harry (Hank) Shaw Bahen and Helen Marr Cutler.
Bethea was also a survivor of downwind atomic testing, demonstrating remarkable resilience in the face of adversity. Her experiences shaped her perspective and contributed to the strength and compassion for which she was so deeply admired.
Bethea lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family and friends. She was an accomplished artist and a passionate lover of the arts, finding inspiration and beauty in creative expression throughout her life.
Bethea is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Binkerd; her loving daughter, Helen Hussey, and her weird son Andrew. She also leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride throughout her life.
Bethea now joins her mother, Helen and father Hank; her beloved daughter, Phranquee; and her sons, Kelly and Tyler, in eternal rest. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, unwavering support, and her artistic talents that touched the lives of many.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. The family asks that those wishing to honor Bethea’s life do so by sharing stories, reflecting on her impact, and keeping her spirit alive through acts of love and kindness.

I have known Buffy since high school I am so sorry to hear about her passing. My condolences are with Frank and the rest of the binkerd family I will be unable to attend any services as I will be out of state visiting family
I wish all of you peace and comfort. Buffy was and always will be with me. She was a very generous woman and I will never forget her kindness. I only wish we could have had a relationship that lasted forever but that was not to be. If I can do anything for you, please let me know.
What an amazing woman, she would always open to helping anyone. She also had a love for her dogs. We will miss her smiles and hugs.
Frank, it has been many years since we have talked, but I want to express my deepest sympathy to you and your family. Buffy was a very special lady. Love and prayers
I first met Buffy shortly after forming an unbreakable friendship with her son, Drew at the age of 17. Both Buffy and Frank welcomed me into their home with open arms and treated me as if I was part of the family almost 32 years ago. Buffy was always very motherly to me and her support as well as criticism helped pave my path in life. I will miss her deeply. She was a great woman and an amazing mother. My most sincere condolences to the Family.
