1925 ~ 2021

Beverly Jane Kirk Crookston
Our wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother, Beverly Jane Kirk Crookston, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021, at the age of 95 in St. George, Utah at her daughter’s home. She was born in SLC, UT, to Frank Acton Kirk and Myrtle Helen Lindquist on July 1, 1925. She was raised in SLC, graduated from East High School, and attended the University of Utah.
She married Richard E. Crookston. They were the proud parents of 7 children – Shawna (Richard) Lewis, Kirk (Claudia) Crookston, Michelle (Michael) Walker, Tracy (Roger) Petersen, Broc (Rhonda) Crookston, Piper (Thomas) Gispanski and Shayne (Matt) Rich. Mom left behind a great legacy – 22 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
Mom loved golf, bridge, Hallmark movies, U of U football, blue eye shadow and bright pink lipstick. Mom spent most of the time in banking. She especially loved her friends, special “Sister” Aunt Pat along with her nieces and nephews. She’s preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, her husband and a niece and nephew. Daughter Tracy and her family, please accept my condolences. This was a very special lady who I will always visualize walking through the halls where Tracy taught. She walked with a purpose, always sporting that beautiful blue eyeshadow and her lipstick applied expertly. She was making a beeline to Tracy’s classroom, and always mentioned where she was going. But she always had time to talk and flash her smile. It’s not hard to visualize her catching up in heaven. There are so many who waited a long time for her. May she Rest In Peace there with others whom she loved.

I am so sad for your loss. Your mom was a great woman, and mother.
I glad she’s not suffering any more and can enjoy being with your dad and other family members.

Dear Crookston Family-
Your mother was the most energized, fun and lovely lady I have known. She raised 7 great kids and had a great legacy. I love that she did Facebook in her 90's! My love and prayers go out to all of her family. Enjoy her memories.
