Raymond L. Irvine Sr. \"Ray\" passed away in his home in Midvale, Utah on August 27th, 2016 at the age of 92.
Ray was born to parents Melva Theodora and Leo Hanson on March 7th, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He grew up as the oldest child with one sibling, Pat Irvine.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II and married Claire Alice Cowan on June 3rd, 1942 and had 62 years together. She preceded him in death in 2004.
After serving in the Navy, Ray worked for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad in management and retired after 43 years.
Ray was a loving father to Raymond L. Irvine Jr. "Lee" (Christie) and Connie Gae Nielson (Michael) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ray was active in the Fraternal Order of Eagles and enjoyed playing golf and bowling.
Ray will be cremated and his ashes put in with Claire at a short graveside service for family.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled at Ray\s home on Friday Sept 2nd, 2016 from 2:00 to 6:00pm.
