Bill (William) Eugene Michel

1956 ~ 2022

Bill Michel, born on 11/7/1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Eugene Michel and Golda Platt Michel passed away on 6/16/2022 due to unexpected health problems.

Bill was raised in Salt Lake City, graduating from West High School. He went on to own 2 of his own mechanic businesses and worked very diligently at the Post Office. Early in his life he enjoyed rebuilding classic cars, as well as rebuilding and racing derby cars. He and his brother also spent some time building and racing a funny cars in the sand. He married Jackie Michel on May 21, 1988 in Holladay Utah. Some of his hobbies included collecting miniature replica collectables, spoons, and old time John Wayne movies. He enjoyed old time country music and watching old time Western movies.

Bill is survived by his wife of 34 years Jacqueline Michel and his siblings John (Johnny) Michel & Terrie Finley. In addition he leaves behind his children Telissa Candelaria, Sara Michel, and Zeke Alexander (Kayla) and his grandchildren Alazae Michel Candelaria and 2 others. Bill also leaves behind many nieces/ nephews, grand nieces/ nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Michel and his mother Golda Platt Michel.

A viewing service in his honor will be held July 10, 2022 at Larkin Sunset Gardens (1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) Sandy, UT 84092) from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

So sorry to hear about Billy , I have great memories of camping and fishing with Bill. Larry Thomas let me know Bill had passed , I was planning on coming to the viewing but I ended up with an infection which is keeping me home. I hope Johnny and Terri are doing ok

Met Billy when we were 13 at Jordan Junior high. Friends ever since. So many good times with that guy. We're all going to miss him. My sincere condolences.
