Bonnie and her twin sister, Connie, were born in Ogden, Utah, to Ada Burningham and Doran Ray Hunt. Bonnie was always sad about the loss of her father when she and Connie were only 4 years old. I know that she will be pleased to not only see her husband Keith, who died in 2011, but her dad and mother (who she lost in 1985). She also lost a dear brother, Doran Richard, in 1983. Loss of loved ones happened too often, especially when she lost her sister Gwen and then her dear twin sister in 2015.

She was a mother first to Trudie and Kevin, but she was also a dedicated career woman in the mortgage lending field. She spent more than 50 years in various areas of mortgage banking, which was a true joy for her. She worked until she was 80 before retiring for good. She loved life and lived it fully. She was always surprised at the extent of her acceptance in this field. She was able to teach multitudes of students all over the west about mortgages, using a book she wrote herself. She also wrote a textbook for the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women. It was quite an accomplishment for a girl raised in Ophir which had only 106 residents.

She and Keith raised their family in Murray, moved to Bountiful and then to Oregon and California; coming to St. George to retire in 1990, but that retirement only lasted a month. She left St. George in 2017 and came to the Salt Lake Valley to live with Trudie.

She is survived by daughter Trudie and son Kevin (Tracy), two step-daughters Judi and Claudia, grandchildren Lynsie and Alan, two great-grandsons Grayson and Asher, also numerous inherited grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren: David, Kelly, Ian, Shannon, Heather, Kelli, Seth, Preston, Kyle, Megan, Dallin, Ashton, Marielle, Cole, Hailee, Harley, Ashley, Kiahna, Dominic, Jaxson, Isah, McKenzie, Aliyah, Viviana, Adrian, Miles, Willow and Anthony. She is also survived by her sister Joane (Wayne) Barger, and brothers Lannie Bridges and Steven Bridges. Plus a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends who became family.

Services will be held Friday, December 20, 2024, at 11:00 am at Larkin Mortuary 3688 W 12600 S, Riverton, UT. Friends may call from 9:00 am to 10:45 am. A graveside service will be held at noon on December 21, 2024, at Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Drive, St. George, UT.

Trudie
I’m so sorry to learn of the passing of your dear Mother. Its been years since I’ve seen you two but have wonderful memories of our times togethor in the Mortgage business. Bonnie was always someone we could count on. As you know she knew the guidelines forward and backward. Her demeanor was always professional and pleasant. She was just plain fun to be around. So glad you had many years with her.
My love to you and your family
