Lila LaRue Passey passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, November 4th, 2013 after suffering a stroke. She would have turned 88 on New Year's Day.
Lila was born January 1, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John Talmai Miles and Alice Elizabeth Lee. She was the fourth of seven siblings.
After graduating from West High School in 1945, Lila attended LDS Business College and later married her High School sweetheart, Raeo L. Passey, in the Salt Lake Temple. Lila was also the last of all her siblings to pass away and her family is comforted in the knowledge that she is now reunited with her husband and her family, all of whom she missed dearly.
Lila is remembered as a beautiful and loving mother and true friend to those who had the pleasure to know her in this life. She will also be remembered as a woman who loved to beautify her home and garden and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Lila is preceded in death by her husband and is survived by her five children; Becky Loveless (Eric), Mark Passey (Lori), Debbie Parr (Ken), Lisa Gerber (Steve), and Robin Passey. Lila also left behind an amazing progeny consisting of 23 Grandchildren, 45 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9th, 2013 at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 So), Sandy, Utah, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
