Brandon Arthur Horrocks , chef, business owner, son and husband died on February 19th, 2023.
Brandon was born May 27th, 1969, in Salt Lake City, Utah. His family moved to California where he graduated from Redlands High School in 1987.
Brandon was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a mission in Okayama, Japan.
His love for cooking lead him to the prestigious Culinary Institute of American, or the “Original CIA” as he would like to call from 1991-1995. Brandon was awarded the only Craig Clayborne full tuition scholarship for the institute. He graduated with honors from the CIA in 1995.
After graduating he moved to Dallas, Texas and managed many restaurants in the area, including Goodhues in McKinney from 1995-2009. In 2010 he achieved his dream and opened his own business, Square Burger Restaurant.
Brandon loved reading, music, art and travel. He was kind to every living thing, including plants, birds, cats, dogs and chickens. He loved and named all his chickens. Brandon saw the good in everyone he met. He loved his family especially and they will miss him greatly.
Brandon is survived by his husband, Mark Bond. His mother Marcia Johanson Horrocks. His brother, Gerald LeRoy Horricks Jr (Rhondi). Sisters, Aubrie H. Siaki, Marnie H. Reynolds (Paul), Megen H. Westwood (Jacob), Ashley H. Cornelius (Steph). As well as 10 nephews, 8 nieces and 1 great nephew.
Brandon was proceeded in death by his dear father, Gerald Horrocks.
