Brent B. Kelsch, 55, passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2026.
Born on October 9, 1970, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Brent lived a life centered on family, friendship, and hard work. He built a long and respected career in the HVAC industry, where he was known for his dedication, skill, and reliability.
Brent was a proud father to three beautiful children—Kelsha, Eyan, and Faith—and a loving grandfather to three grandchildren, who brought him great joy and happiness. He cherished time with his family above all else.
Brent had a deep connection with God and held strong religious beliefs. He carried a firm sense of right and wrong and stood by his convictions. He valued his independence and believed strongly in personal freedoms, with a deep appreciation for the rights and values of his country.
He had a wide circle of friends and family who loved him dearly. Brent formed lasting connections wherever he went and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His cousin and close friend, Boaz Kunz, held a special place in his heart. Brent will be remembered for his bright, cheerful smile, his deep, contagious laughter, and a signature swagger—more like a bounce—that made his presence unforgettable.
He is survived by his children, Kelsha Vi Kelsch, Eyan Colby Kelsch, and Faith Elizabeth Kelsch; his grandchildren, Anya Clare Kelsch, Brooklyn Elizabeth Larson, Andrew Kol Larson; his ex-wife Shirley Kelsch; his mothers, Alice Faye Kelsch and Linda Beth Kelsch; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A viewing will take place on May 1, 2026, at Larkin Mortuary located at 3688 W 12600 S, Riverton, UT 84065 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m, followed by a graveside service at Elysian Burial Gardens located at 1075 E 4580 S, Millcreek, UT 84117 at 1:00 p.m. We will have a Celebration of Life luncheon held at 12244 South Janice Drive, Riverton 84065 beginning at 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Brent has been so generous with his knowledge over the last several years helping my husband learn more about how to maintain and repair our HVAC systems for our business. He was reliable and kind, funny and friendly, his integrity and care for his work was obvious, but also his sincere interest in teaching and willingness to share. He made my husband laugh so much, they would be out laughing and chatting for a long time after the project was over, Brent was truly a teacher, sharing his knowledge, empowering us to learn more. We will truly miss interacting with him and are so sorry for your profound and sudden loss.
My last text from Brent: I really appreciated the wonderful people that the Lord surrounded me with and I was so sorry the Lord chose to move us but what can ya do, all is as our God wills it. I truly thank you for all that you and yours did for me and mine...may the Lord our God bless you for time and all eternity.
