Brooke Nicole Ethington

1977 ~ 2023

Centerville, UT- April 15, 2023, Brooke Nicole Livingston Ethington, 45, passed peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones following a brief illness. Her years with us were far too short; but she filled them with love, beautiful singing, fun-filled memories, family, friends, and her sincere and contagious belly laughs. Brooke’s daughter, Abby Jo Ethington was the center of her world! They were best friends and travel companions. Brooke loved her family intensely and proudly. She had a beautiful way of adding bonus family members everywhere she went.
Preceded in death by her mother Laurie Jo Holindrake Fugate and father Brock Livingston. She is survived by daughter Abby Jo; her bonus parents RD & Linda Fugate; sisters Ashley Livingston; Meghan (Jentry) Charnetzky; brother Stuart (Krissy) Beitel; nephews Cameron, Brooks, Dade; nieces Hartley, Scarlett Jo, Ruby. There are so many “extra” family members in Brooke’s tribe – you know who you are and how deeply she loved you. We also acknowledge her honorary “husband” Matthew Padley, as he did not just love her to the end of Brooke’s life, but will love her until the end of his.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm at La Capella at Canterbury, 197 E. 500 S., Bountiful, UT. Formal services at 1:00 with food, drinks, and stories to follow. Please wear purple in honor of Brooke’s favorite color.
The loss of Brooke is profound; but it is outweighed by the light she has been in our world. Her encounters began with the sincere inquiry, “How are you honey?” and a loving embrace. She gave without question, loved with every fiber of her being, was unquestionably loyal, and would ensure you never went through hardship alone. In honor of this exceptional woman, remember to live out loud and exemplify her greatest qualities by helping others, forgiving those who wronged you, and make changes if you face any of her same challenges or hardships. Live your life as the very best version of Brooke. Let her light live on, be on watch for her dragonflies, and look for her in the sunsets.
