Janet Allmendinger, 71, passed away November 29, 2013 in Salt Lake City. She was born in Salt Lake City to Lawrence and Florence Allmendinger on March 6, 1942. Janet graduated from East High School. She lived and worked in Salt Lake City, working for the State of Utah.
Janet enjoyed reading, going for walks, getting her hair done, and visiting with family and friends, as well as nibbling on Idle Isle chocolates. She also enjoyed the companionship of her service dog, Jack.
Janet is survived by her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother, Lawrence, and sister, Diane Poulsen.
A special thanks to Janet's dear friends, Anne Cannon and Craig Mortensen, for the care and friendship they offered to Janet over the last several years.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11:00 am at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services. Interment to follow services in the Midvale City Cemetery, next to her parents.
