Bettie Naomi Coffin Kidd

1923 ~ 2014

Bettie Naomi Coffin Kidd, age 90, finished this part of her life on April 19th, 2014. She was born on September 10, 1923 to Parley and Kathryn Christensen Coffin. She married Earl Clement Kidd in the Salt Lake Temple and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Grandma was a hard worker and had wonderful work associations. She spent many years working for Western Union as a telegraph operator. She also worked many years and retired from Salt Lake Clinic as a telephone operator.

After retirement Grandma devoted a large part of her time going through microfiche reels at the Family History Center.

Grandma enjoyed sewing, camping, riding motorcycles, genealogy, calligraphy, watching football and she was the crossword puzzle expert. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Grandma will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and those that she associated with. Grandma loved her family very much and loved spending time with her husband, two sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Bettie is survived by her three grandchildren, Christopher (Miriam) Kidd, Molly Kidd, Elizabeth (Waylon) Grange, six great grandchildren and her sister Sharon Sleight. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl and her two boys Joel and Wynne.

A very special thanks to the care provided by the Sarah Daft Home and Arlington Hills Health Care Center. A funeral service will be held Thursday April 24th 2014 at 11am at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Funeral Home (2350 E. 1300 S.) There will be a viewing an hour prior starting at 10am. Interment will be in the Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
