Erika Elisabeth Seyler Galke, age 87, passed away April 2, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born October 28, 1928 in Breslau, Germany, the daughter of Gustav Wilhelm Syler and Elisabeth Erna Schaar Seyler. She married Erbo Gerson Galke in Breslau, Germany. He preceded her in death.
Erika is survived by her Children, Rose Marie (Doug) McCombs, Detlef (Janell) Galke, Michael (Rayleen) Galke and Christine Galke, 17 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings and one son, Hans Ulrich Galke.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Kimball Ward, 2280 South 300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah, at 12:00 noon, where friends and family may visit Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service.
