Allison Ethel Brunson Patterson was born on March 27, 1921 to Elmer Howard and Ethel Pederson Brunson. She was the oldest of four daughters. Allison passed away on October 21, 2014 of complications from Alzheimer's disease.
She graduated from Granite High School in 1939. On September 23, 1939 Allison married John Albert Patterson. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 22, 1944. Their children John Jr. and Caroline were sealed to them prior to John's service in the Army. He served in the 77th Infantry Division in the Pacific. His life was spared and he returned home and their third child, Joan, was born.
Allison is survived by her son, John Patterson Jr. and wife Barbara Westland Patterson, Sandy, Utah, daughters Caroline Patterson, Salt Lake City, Utah and Joan Patterson Burnham and her husband Waldo G. Burnham, St. George, Utah, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Her husband, John Patterson died on September 2, 2004. She is also preceded in death by her parents, sisters Faye Brunson, June Brunson Larsen and Patricia Jean Brunson Hepworth.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 25, 2014 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy, Utah. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens.
