Carol Garrett Kipp

1944 ~ 2023

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Carol G. Kipp. She was born on November 24, 1944 to Wayne and Dorothy Garrett while her father was serving with the U.S. Army in France during WWII. She spent the first 18 years of her life in Logan, UT. She graduated from Logan High School where she was a member of the Logan High “Hi-Lo’s”, the precision marching group.

Carol enjoyed playing sports at an early age. As a teenager she played softball and volleyball on various church teams. Later she took up golf and played through her adult years. Carol loved anything red. She was very patriotic and watched for flags on display everywhere she went.

She enjoyed a long and successful career working for several title companies as an escrow officer in Salt Lake City, UT. She worked hard and was well respected in her field.

Carol leaves behind her son Jay Herstad, brother Craig, nephew Jeff, 2 granddaughters, and 4 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter McKenzee Bird, and friend Jerry Chapman.

Carol was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2013. She met each challenge of this disease with grace. We want to thank the staff of Sagewood at Daybreak and Canyon Hospice for their loving care and treatment as they helped Carol navigate her journey with Alzheimer’s. The family would like to thank Judy and Alysun for everything they have done for Carol the last few years. It is much appreciated.

Interment will be at the Logan City Cemetery, Logan, UT.
