It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Casey John Wardle, a beloved son, husband, father, and grandson. Casey passed away on Saturday, June 24th, as a result of a sudden heart attack. Born on June 9, 1984, in Murray, Utah, Casey held a special place in the hearts of his parents, Tammy and Evan Wardle. Casey's father, Evan passed away in May of 1985.

Tammy raised Casey as a single mother until age 9. When Gary Baldwin entered his life, they easily built a lasting loving relationship as father and son.

Growing up in West Jordan, Utah, Casey attended West Jordan High School, where he graduated in 2002. Known for his vibrant personality and sociable nature, Casey had a remarkable talent for connecting with others, forming lasting friendships wherever he went. He possessed an innate desire to help and support everyone he encountered, leaving a positive impact on their lives. Casey enjoyed all things music, had a love for singing (although he preferred to keep that in the shower), played saxophone in high school, and was self-taught on many other instruments.

In 2007, Casey met Jessica Cornell while working together. Instantly they formed a deep connection and were married on August 14, 2010. Casey and Jessica were blessed with two beautiful children Logan Paige (age 6) and Lincoln Henry (age 3).

Casey was the best dad and husband anyone could have asked for. He was the love of Jess’ life and her best friend. Likewise, Casey found nothing more important and fulfilling than taking care of his family to the extent that a few years back he chose to take on the untraditional role of being a stay-at-home parent. By doing so, he was able to provide for his family in a way that many may not have seen. Choosing to take on this role showed Casey's selflessness and his deep understanding of how important family is. Those precious moments Casey spent with his kids brought him so much joy.

Casey is survived by his wife Jessica, their daughter Logan, and their son Lincoln. He is also survived by his parents Tammy and Gary Baldwin, stepsister Julie (Jon) Weir, grandmother Carolyn (Larry) Rodgers, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Evan Wardle, grandfather Larry Rodgers, Lola Baldwin, Ted and Donna Wardle.

Funeral services for Casey will be held at 11AM on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the Maple 6th Ward, 8137 South Echo View Drive in West Jordan, Utah. A viewing and time for friends and family to gather will take place from 6-8PM on Friday evening, June 30, 2023 at Larkin Mortuary - Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South in Riverton, Utah. Another opportunity friend and family to gather will take place one hour prior to funeral services at the Ward on Saturday.

Funeral services will be streamed via Zoom for those wishing to attend virtually. To watch the previously held funeral services, please click the "Watch Services" link above.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Casey was a great husband, father, son, and grandson. We will all miss his great smile and happy family gatherings. He was always fun to be around. I didn't get to enjoy all his cooking, but what I did was excellent. We love you Casey and will miss your happy personality.

Our sincere condolences for the loss of Casey. I was one of the very lucky coworkers to have had the privilege of working with him. Casey was blessed with the ability to make each person feel like they were extremely special. I so looked forward to the days he was there and was able to call on him to help a guest. More often than not the guest would return to me to check them out. They would comment on Casey, saying he had made them feel like family, or that their experience with him was extremely satisfying. It wasn’t hard to build a friendship with him as it came so naturally. I miss you Casey, your time was to short, but God gained a special angel for a special job and called you home. I pray that each of your family will be comforted and find peace in the many long days ahead.

Casey was a true gentleman and a kindhearted soul. Many times, he made me laugh & feel welcome. Casey, shed your peaceful nature onto your most precious loved ones and be their guardian angel. Rest in peace, for you know that they are all in good hands as well. I'll miss your contagious smile, your jokes, great hugs & your sarcasm!! Please give my mom and grandma Baldwin one of your great hugs for me. This just breaks my heart. My love and most sincere condolences go out to all of Casey's family, but especially to those that I personally know, Tammy, Uncle Gary, Jess, Logan and Lincoln. Please know that I am there in heart & thoughts, and you will be in my prayers. I am so sorry for your loss. Very much love, Wendy

I only had the privilege of meeting with Casey a few times but they were very special! Casey always had a smile and showed so much love to our niece, Jessica. He was so proud of everything she did. And Jessica was so proud to show everyone what a special catch she had made. The love they share is so beautiful. I am so very sorry for the loss his family must experience. Hoping God wraps His arms around you and helps you through this!
