Cherishing classic rock, photography, and the historical mysteries she loved to study, she pursued every passion with unmatched intensity.
Known for her indomitable will, she fought for what she believed in and never backed down from any challenge.
Choosing Jay as her partner, after meeting through the early days of AOL, she built a life filled with devotion and shared joy.
After marrying in 1996, she welcomed their son Michael in 2006, embracing motherhood with love, pride, and gratitude.
Nature and the outdoors brought her peace, inspiring countless photographs and cherished memories with her family.
Courage defined her six‑year battle with pancreatic cancer, a fight she carried far beyond every expectation.
Even as the illness advanced, she continued learning, reading, and seeking understanding with the same fire she brought to life.

Thinking of you prayers for your family. You know me as Tarabell online.
Cathy and I were neighborhood kids and high school mates. She was extraordinary then and never changed throughout the challenging hand she was dealt. She had enthusiasm, resilience and a kind heart. I am sorry for your loss.
I met Cathy online through our love of science fiction. She fought the disease that finally took her with all her strength. Her science fiction heroes would have been proud of her. Rest In Peace, Cathy.
