Carol passed away on August 14, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 20, 1949 to Theron and Donna Farnsworth in Salt Lake City. Carol attended Jordan High School and University of Utah. She met her sweetheart Eugene McWherter while square dancing and were married in the Salt Lake Temple on March 16, 1973. Carol served 35 years with the U.S. Military as a Support Tech. She was heavily involved with Ham Radio communications and as a Boy Scout Leader. Carol was always working on a craft.
Survived by her three sisters Marsha (Brian) Smith; Nancy (Brad) Ball; Connie Harris; brother-in-law Kerry Smith; 17 nieces and nephews; and 38 adopted grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. Preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister Sharon Smith; and nephew Stewart Smith.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 18th at 2:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy. Friends may call upon the family during the viewings on Friday, August 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Saturday, August 18th from 1:00 to 1:45 PM.
