Joyce Christiansen Anderson

1929 ~ 2015

Joyce Christiansen Anderson, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones March 29, 2015 at the St. Mark\s Hospital. She was born August 15, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Horace Arthur and Ada Deaun Sudweeks Christiansen. She married Thomas Malcolm Anderson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, February 20, 1953. After faithfully waiting for him to fulfill his two year military service in the Korean War. graduated from East High School and worked for the phone company as an operator. She later worked at the Granite High School cafeteria for many years. She made many friends in the \"Lunch Bunch\" and has many ahir salon buddies that have been great friends for too many years of Fridays to count. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.

She and Malcom are is survived by their four children that were answers to a special blessing and given to them by Elder Harold B. Lee: Susan (Jim) Isaac, Thomas (Vicky) Anderson, Paul (Dana) Anderson, Lisa (Steve) Bills, 15 grandchildren of whom she was proud of every day, 9 grandchildren in-law whom she treated as her very own, 20 great-grandchildren and one great granson-in-law. She is also survived by her brother, Don (Delores) Christiansen, sisters-in-law, Mary Kaye Campbell, Dorothy Wiscombe, and her many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her two brothers, David and Wayne.

As Joyce\s family, we wish to thank the many loving caregivers that took care of our Mother. Our Mother had many wonderful people who came into her life that became very good friends that made her daily life and loneliness from Dad much easier to handle. They also provided a great piece of mind for us knowing that she was well taken care of. Thank you for serving our Mother.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Wilford Ward, 3179 South Highland Drive. Graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
