Cheri Bills, passed away peacefully with her devoted husband by her side on Thursday morning, August 22, 2024. She was 74. Born on January 28, 1950 to William Lunt, and Beverly Stephensen Lunt in Provo Utah.

Cheri attended Wasatch Elementary School which was just down the street from her home. She spent her junior high years at the old historic Brigham Young High on University Avenue in Provo. She transferred to Provo High School her sophomore year. At Provo High she made many friendships that lasted throughout her life. It was there where she met the love of her life, Ron Bills. She graduated from Provo High in 1968.

She furthered her education at Weber State College, in Ogden for two years. In 1970 she participated and performed in the Hill Cumorah Pageant in Palmyra, New York, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was a pivotal experience that had a significant and lasting impact on her life.

She moved to Salt Lake City with a friend and worked at the famous Hotel Utah where she was an elevator operator. After several months she moved back to Provo where she got a teller position at Zions National Bank in downtown Provo.

She married her highschool sweetheart Ron Bills on May 1,1973, in the Provo Temple. Cheri and Ron eventually made their home in Sandy, Utah. Cheri had a zest for life and was a dedicated homemaker, wife, and loving mother to her four sons. Recently she became a proud grandma.

Cheri lived her life to the fullest by enjoying travel, watching fireworks on the 4th of July and making every holiday special for her family. She especially loved Christmas. Spending time with her family and taking pride in her home was very important to her. She also had really fabulous hair!

Cheri is survived by her husband Ron Bills, her son, Jeremy Bills and his husband Satoshi Shigihara, her son Cody Bills, his wife Jessica Bills and their daughter Olivia, her twin sons, Madison Bills and Wyatt Bills. She is also survived by her brother William Stephen Lunt and his Husband Jean-Marc Lamarche, sister Kimberly Lunt and niece Ashley Lunt.

Preceded in death by her parents William Marvin Lunt and Beverly Elaine Stephensen.

There will be a Celebration of life and viewing on Thursday August 29th from 6 to 8pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South)
The graveside service will be the following day Friday August 30th at 10am, also at Larkin Sunset Gardens.

The one and only time I met Cheri, I knew she was a very kind, and loving woman. I am so thankful to have met her. Madison has been a close friend of mine for many years. She has raised young boys to be amazingly kind gentlemen. Hats off to you, Cheri. Thank you for making it possible for Madison to be in my life! As you probably already know, Cheri, you will be greatly missed and loved till the end of time.
