  • Hearts are broken at the sudden return of our adored wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister ChiKay Laurine Cole to her heavenly home.

She filled our lives with sunshine.

She nurtured those she loved with radiance and joy. She found beauty in everything and everyone. Her kindness and love were given without judgement or reservation. Time spent with her was pure delight.

Her many talents were freely shared in service to others. Her sense of awe and wonder only increased with years, as the world around her was more captivating with each new day. Positivity was her nature and continually expressed in word and deed. She is truly lovely in every way. We are so grateful for the blessing of her mortal life. She is a gift to her cherished husband, children, and beloved mother. Time without her can only be endured because of the the sure knowledge she instilled in each of us of a loving Heavenly Father who keeps His eternal promises.

We love you. Always and Forever.

ChiKay is survived by her sweetheart Kerry B Cole, (Sandy Utah) children Shandon & Laurie Cole, Kerity & Jeff Pulsipher, Heather & Louie DeMaio, Shaura Cole, Treven Cole, Shannon & Nick Watts, Kelton & Jessica Cole, Anthony & Alycia Cole and the 23 LUCKIEST grandchildren EVER!!! Dearest Cole Family,
We'll never be able to look at the flower arrangements for a Stake Meeting in the same way. She left an artistic mark of talent as she freely shared of her time to create beautiful bouquets for every occasion. She was a delight to anyone who interacted with her. Our hearts break for the sudden loss of this incredible woman. She definitely left us way, way, way too soon.
    Love, Steve and Jackie Riley

I had the privilege of working with Chikay in cub scouts. She was full of fun and had so much love for those boys. She was a bright light in this dreary world. My love goes out to your sweet family.

I can only imagine the hurt that has come into your life so suddenly. Your family has always been a beacon of strength, endurance and faith in the living God. May He sustain you through the difficult days ahead. We are praying for your family and want you to know of our great love for each of you. I have found that it is still possible to hear our loved ones speak to us from heaven but we have to listen very carefully; then, spirit speaks to spirit and we hear. Love you. John Saxey

Treven, We would love to come to your mothers viewing tonight but we are all sick. Hope that you are doing okay. So sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. I loved your mom.

Dear Treven, Kerry and family, we are so sorry to hear of ChiKay’s accident and passing away. Our daughter and son, Kelli and Brian, were privileged to be in the GIFTS program with ChiKay as a leader and also with Treven as a good friend. We have many precious memories of both of them and also memories of Kerry providing security at many events.. Treven, we love you and are here to help you . We are all currently ill and won’t be able to attend the services but you are all in our prayers at this time. ChiKay was an amazing person and we are honored to consider her our friend. Treven, please know we love you and hope to get together with you soon. Love, Dennis, Marilyn, Kelli and Brian Henkriksen

One of the most sincere people I have ever known. She has touched more lives and influenced so many of Gods children than we can imagine. Thanks ChiKay for being you.
A special thanks to the family for sharing Chick with us.

Kerry, the funeral for ChiKay was very nice. When they spoke of favorites, it made me think of favorites, and I am happy to say that you are truly my favorite brother. I am so thankful I got to know and love you and ChiKay, although I wish it would have been sooner. Thank you for the love and kindness you have shown me.
It's hard to understand why those we love are taken from us so unexpectedly, but it's all part of Heavenly Father's plan, and we know you and ChiKay will be together again someday. Until that day, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you will heal from your injuries, both physically and emotionally, soon.

I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with your family. I found something I wanted to share. I worked with Chic and she gave me a journal and she left a message in the journal I think is for everyone, "The reason I wanted to write in you journal is because it will make our experience together more than a memory! Memories are precious...it is true...but with our mortality and the passing of time - even close and precious memories begin to fade, we only remember them vaguely and then sadly some disappear all together. A journal is away to capture and document moments of times in our live that will bless us again and again!! Also...and maybe just as important... it is a personal and beautiful way for our own posterity to learn to know and love us...because they will actually know us!!"
What a wise, talented, kind, incredible woman....
    I love you Chic

I spent much time at the home of Wendall and Vonda playing with ChiKay and her sisters and brothers in North Salt lake until they moved when I was probably around 7 years old. They were the most fun kids in the neighborhood. Sorry to hear of ChiKay's passing as it sounds like she continued to be a wonderful person. I'd love to visit with Vonda sometime. Such wonderful memories.
