Born April 23rd, 1950, to Alan and Beverly Carlson in Salt Lake City, Utah. She left us appropriately on Friday the 13th of February 2026. Christy will be remembered for her sense of humor, her love of Halloween, her independent attitude, and her ability to see beauty in almost anything. The strength she exhibited during the many obstacles she overcame in her life will continue to inspire those who knew her. In passing, Christy joins her parents, brother Johnny, sisters Sandy, Pam, Vicki, and Cindy, and her beloved dogs Jack and Squeaky in heaven. Surviving loved ones include daughters Tina Larsen and Teresa Jenkins; brothers Allen Carlson Jr. and Matt Carlson; grandchildren Chris, Breana, Alex and Zach; great grandchildren Faith, C.J., Addyson, Taytom, and Tucker, and companion Kim Pearson.
A viewing will be held February 25th from 2-4 P.M. at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy. Although we expect Christy to find a way to be late even to this event.
Christy had many great qualities, had endless energy and loved life. I remember working together, fishing, boating,---many good times. Long ago another time. I am sure she will be missed. I will remember her.
My dearest sister Christy, you took me in at the age of 13 when mom died and treated me as your own. Your guidance, love and ever so wonderful sense of humor always made our time fun and interesting. As life passed we continued to spend as much time as possible with each other which only increased our bond. You have been such a great sister, mom, and best friend as we enjoyed each others time. Susan and I, along with the girls will miss your fun loving personality every day, but we are at peace knowing we will meet again with the rest of the family some day, and we all can continue the fun and games. We love you more than our words can say and will miss you so much. May you be at peace and enjoy the time with those who already left us until we can all meet again. Love you always and forever, your little brother Matt & Susan Carlson
Sweet lady , it broke my heart to learn of your passing. Thank you for my beautiful barbie and thank you for being a sweet and wonderful neighbor to the jensen family. I am thankful that I got to meet you and become friends with you. God bless your family and keep them safe.
My Sister and My Friend, you have been a big part of my life ever since I was a teenager when Matt came into my life. We have had so many adventures and fun times and memories I will cherish forever. Our Yellowstone trip with Brittany, Kim, Matt and I, Kim had said out loud that when you pass away, they would need to sew your lips shut so you couldn't still talk, and your little niece Brittany got so upset and scolded Kim for saying that. We had a great adventure on this trip. All our cabin trips, family reunions, fun times and memories we made. Our Christmas holiday's together, with Alesha and her family. I will miss you forever and love you just as long. We will have a Margarita together again.
So for now behave yourself and remember how much you are loved.
Your little Sister Sue & Brother Matt
I am so sorry for your loss.
Your mom is in much better place now.
My prayers are with you.
Of all the people who shaped who I am, Aunt Christy did it with fake cobwebs, ghost stories, and a perfectly timed dark joke. She is the reason I love all things horror, and some of my favorite memories are helping her set up her haunted houses every year and getting paid in Avon like it was the most normal currency in the world. She had the best sense of humor, unapologetically dark and always delivered with that look that let you know she was about to make you laugh when you probably shouldn’t. Even after having part of her nose removed, she turned it into comedy, proudly saying it looked like Dracula’s ear… or maybe an elf’s, she was never quite sure, and that made it even better. I will miss her terribly, but I am so grateful for the memories, the laughter, and the love she gave so freely. Love you always, Brittany. 🖤
