Christinia "Tinia" Marie Carroll Drennan

Tina was one of the best special educators and mentors. She was kind, loving and dedicated. She worked hard for good causes. ❤️ so sad to hear that she is no longer with her family. I’m sure that you all have wonderful memories.

I feel so lucky to have had Tinia as my cousin. She helped shape me. I spent a lot of time at our Grandma Evs's, right next door to Tinia. She taught me to sew and helped me with numerous creative projects both as a child and into adulthood. She was warm, kind, and honest. She did not mince words when needing to correct, but did so graciously. She felt it important that I understood the "why" when she was teaching me something. We spent countless hours canning the produce on Grandma Eva's farm, something I hold dear and feel very blessed and lucky to have shared with her. will miss her infectious laugh and her smile. We were all lucky to have her on our path.

I knew Tinia years ago when we were both young working mothers. We worked tirelessly as sped teachers. I remember when Hilary was born! I am so saddened to learn of her passing. She was a wonderful person with a helluva of laugh. God Bless you Tinia. May you rest in peace.

Tinia, what a wonderful friend! She was positive and interested in others even towards the end. What an example to me of grace and dignity during these difficult times. Her family was so important to her. Tinia expressed love and pride in her grandchildren and her children. Thanks to Rupert for his tender care throughout these hard months.

My goodness I just received the email from uplift about Tinia passing away. I really feel so surprised because she’s such a hard worker and positive and was such a good member with assistance league. Connie, I talk to you today and didn’t even realize what you went through. I’m so sorry. You girls were so close as sisters and I miss that as I lost my younger sister to cancer years ago. It is in such an emptiness it takes a while to fill. Can’t thank both of you for all of your hard work with operation, healthy teeth, and helping others in need is a blessing. We’ll miss her greatly and I hope she’s at peace if she was ill and I know that she’s in a better place. My sincere condolences to your whole family and for the support that comes from each and every one of you. God bless you.

I got to know Tinia through her work at the Uplife Thrift Shop. We worked on Tuesday a.m. and would go out for lunch immediately afterwards. I so enjoyed her stories about teaching. We were both teachers and worked with special needs children. She had a great sense of humor and with Connie, we shared a lot of laughs.
My prayers are with her family and especially Connie who shared the same relationship with Tinia that I enjoy with my sister. I am so sorry for your loss.

Tina was always so friendly when I saw her at district special ed meetings. I loved soaking up her wealth of knowledge that she willingly shared. May your fond memories bring you comfort.

Tinia was a special friend. Thru her difficult times she stayed strong and supported her family and friends. She was always willing to give and made beautiful gifts for her friend’s grandchildren. The blanket she made for William (my grandson) was so soft it was his favorite.
She was lucky to have Bob and her kids help her thru the difficult illness.
She will be missed!

Tinia was always upbeat and saw goodness in everyone. She worked hard to make our community better for all. She will be missed by friends and family!

I met Tinia when her pre-K class was moved to Bell View Elementary. I was teaching 6th grade and thought my students needed to extend themselves to others. I asked Tinia if a few students could help her students with skills and to be friends. This turn out to be a wonderful experience for my 6th graders and for her 5 year olds.

I have the best memories of Tinia. She was always to calm, very organized, kind, happy, and didn't get frustrated. I have been working on those character traits.

There is so much to admire in Tinia, much of it I have learned in just the last 2 years. She loves to read, to garden, to exercise, her children and grandchildren, keeping in touch with friends, traveling to see friends and family, making others feel at home, serving in the community to better the lives of those in need, and knitting (or crocheting, I don't know the difference).

Tinia was a fighter--determined to survive, but sadly this time it was too much. The good part is she is not without pain; the hard part is for those who are left behind. May they, and we, all treasure her memories.

There are no words——-but there are loving memories to share of Tinia….Trae & Hillary were married the beginning of a new family. All the holiday celebrations we shared. The way Tinia & Rupert welcomed my grandson Cade , when he was very young into their lives.Our 2 granddaughters Cassidy & Annnabelle and watched them grow as did Trae & Hillary.Tinia brought warmth, joy,& love to all our lives. Sending our deepest condolences. I am Jesse’s sister-in-law. I have long considered Tinia & Rupert part of my family too. My family & I have enjoyed visits, holidays and watching the Nutcracker with Grandma Tinia.

Her presence will sorely be missed & we will hold on to our memories of the special person that she was.

What a beautiful service! So heartfelt & sweet! I watched it on Zoom sitting at a lagoon in Foster City, California. It was a beautiful day…sunny blue skies & beautiful glistening water…so peaceful & calm.

Tinia would be genuinely touched & proud of the love that surrounded her. Rest in peace my dear friend! You will always be surrounded by love, joyfully remembered & truly missed!

Tinia and I met in some gym classes we both went to. After we realized we were actually neighbors, she started giving me rides to to these classes. It wasn't long before I discovered what a kind and giving person Tinia was. Sometimes my husband and I would join Tinia and Rupert on their nightly walks around the neighborhood. Soon, Tinia and I became hiking buddies too. She was a lot of fun to be around. I miss our times together. I know she is now with our Heavenly Father and free of pain. My condolences to Rupert and her family.
