It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Blu Jensen, a beloved son, brother, and friend. Chris' journey on this Earth came to a close on May 16, 2023, leaving behind memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Chris was born on June 23, 1974, in Provo, Utah, to his proud parents, Phil and Kathy Jensen. From the moment he entered the world, it was clear that Chris possessed an adventurous spirit and a kind heart that would touch the lives of many. Growing up, he brought immeasurable joy to his family, who supported him wholeheartedly in his endeavors.

As he grew older, he excelled at sports and found his love for football and baseball. He was always the fastest on the team and loved to lift weights. He was an outstanding athlete with many awards and lessons learned from his hard work. He graduated from Alta High School in 1993.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a full-time mission to the Johannesburg, South Africa mission from 1994-1996. Chris bloomed as a person and found a love for the Lord and the people of South Africa.

Chris' greatest joy in life was his love for his only child, Alex. Alex was his anchor and adventure partner. He often expressed his pride and love for Alex to all he interacted with.

In his professional life, he started learning electrical work after his mission and worked as an apprentice for a few years before moving into landscaping. He was never one that enjoyed having a boss and with his entrepreneurial spirit, he decided to be his own boss.

Chris excelled as a business owner and landscape contractor, where his exceptional design skills and attention to detail were highly valued. His colleagues and clients respected him for his creativity and hard work. Outside of work, you could find him camping, fishing, hunting, or riding ATVs. He had an unwavering love for the great outdoors, and he would often embark on fishing and camping adventures, relishing the tranquility and beauty of nature.

We are sure his meeting on the other side included his Dad, Phil Jensen, his grandparents, and many others that had cheered him on from the other side of the veil.

He will be deeply missed by his only child Alex, Kathy Jensen (Mother), siblings, Konda Quinton (Brandon Quinton), Autumn Southwick (Ben Southwick), Lance Jensen (Lyndsay Jensen), and Dallas Jensen (Christie Jensen), many nieces and nephews, and friends.

A private family service will be held in his honor. Instead of flowers, please donate to Alex’s GoFundMe https://www.gofundme.com/f/6etj4c-chris-jensen-memorial-fund
