Fred Herman Orme completed his final audit on December 7, 2018. Born April 29, 1942 to Henry and Myrtle Orme of Nephi, Utah. Preceded in death by his high school sweetheart Deanne Stewart Orme, and his brothers Robert Orme and Dennis Orme. He is survived by his current wife, to whom we are eternally grateful, Pauline Crump Orme. He is also survived by his children, whom he affectionately referred to as: Scott Fred "The Doctor" (Sue Ludwig Orme), Michael Stuart "The Businessman" (Lisa Kohler Orme), Michelle "The Drug Dealer/Pharmacist" (Scott White), Jennifer "The Social Worker" (Mitchell Wilde), Heather Marie "The Attorney" (Richard Farnsworth) and of course his favorite child, the 1932 Plymouth Coupe. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Fred was a dedicated servant to his profession, community, church, and family. Fred worked as an Internal Auditor and CPA and served as President of the Certified Internal Auditors association. He served in multiple callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including volunteering at the Draper and Jordan River Temples, two service missions, and as Bishop of the Mount Jordan First Ward. Fred was a rebel at heart, who loved classic cars, oldies music, and pocket protectors. Fred loved to tell jokes with his brothers and stories of past, some of which were true.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 12 noon at the Country Crossing 8th Ward located at 11122 S Blackhawk Drive, South Jordan. Visitations-- Tuesday 6-8pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens: 1950 E 10600 S., Sandy, and Wednesday 10:30 to 11:45am at the Ward. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cancer Bites at America First Credit Union or through Venmo.
