Paul Hyrum Sybrowsky

1921 ~ 2016

Paul Hyrum Sybrowsky was born April 2, 1921 in South Jordan, Utah to LDS Danish converts. Wilhem C. and Alfrida Szybrowsky.

Paul graduated from West High, where basketball was his main game and his passion. He received a full ride scholarship to the University of Utah for basketball, but had to decline as he couldn't afford the bus fair to The U.

He met the love of his life in the winter of 1938 and married Betty Ann Fowler in 1940. They spent 62 happy years together. Their love of laughter and dancing was the cornerstone of their marriage.

He entered W.W.II in the fall of 1944 serving with the 96th Division in Okinawa, Japan. He received a Purple Heart in 1946.

Paul was a natural salesman. With a commitment to customer service with an easy manner he excelled with Poulton's and many years with Lennox International, retiring in 1986.

Paul is survived by Sue Lewis (Wayne Pratt), Jill Jessen (Craig Heitmann) and (Paul K) Lynne Sybrowsky. He is blessed with 13 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews plus, a host of dear friends including his special friend Florence, all of whom, made life a joy.

Preceded in death by "my Betty", his beloved son, Paul K, parents and 9 siblings.

Paul and Betty Ann's life was simply this, "Had fun here, having fun there".

Join us in honoring this great man on February 16th 2016 at Larkin Mortuary 260 East South Temple. You may pay respects from 11 am -1 pm with the funeral service to start at 1 pm.
