Clydene Johnson Bowen, passed away peacefully and so full of love on Friday, February 17 2023. She passed away at Intermountain Medical Center, which was the hospital she proudly retired from her nursing career. She was a young 75 years old.

Clydene was born in Preston, Idaho on November 26 1947, to Clyde and Ethel Johnson. Clydene was prod to have grown up in Preston, because according to her “you always knew someone who was from Preston”. She grew up with one brother, Ron and two sisters, Connie and Beverly. She loved her siblings very much. Clydene graduated from Preston High School and was immediately admitted into nursing school at Ricks College. She graduated from Ricks College with an Associates Degree in Nursing. Also later in life, she went back to school and received another Associates Degree from SLCC in Paralegal Studies.

After graduating from nursing school, Clydene moved to Salt Lake City area, where she met and married Don Bowen. They were later divorced. She did have 4 children who she loved so much, Christopher Ren, Anthony Johnson, Kellie Dawn and Anne Maree. She was so proud of each of her kids.

She was the ultimate working mom. She worked during a time in life where it was not a popular choice for a mother to make. However, she LOVED being a nurse. It was truly her calling in life. For many years she worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse at St. Marks Hospital. Then she worked as a maternity nurse at Intermountain Medical Center, until she retired. She loved working the grave shift. She loved the other doctors and nurses she worked with, but especially loved working with mothers and their babies.

After retirement, she really got to know her 7 grandkids, Bridgette, Cassie, Meagan, Dylan, Jeremy, Megan, Alex and Preston. She loved being with them and making them laugh. She loved always being there for them and their various different activities.

Later in life, Clydene was able to travel and go on adventures with her kids and grandkids. She was able to explore the world and get many stamps in her passport and create wonderful memories. We will always treasure these moments.

Clydene will always be remembered by her amazing laugh, witty sense of humor, her story telling skills and her compassionate heart.
Clydene is survived by her four children: Chris (Michelle), Tony, Kellie (Troy), and Anne. She is also survived by her 7 grandkids, Bridgette, Cassie, Meagan, Dylan, Jeremy, Megan, Alex and Preston. She was also survived by her amazing dog, Tilly. Or Tilly-Dog as she loved to call her. And Clydene was survived by her siblings, Ron Johnson and Beverly (George) Thompson. She was greeted on the other side by her parents Clyde and Ethel Johnson, Sister and brother-in-law Connie and DeVerl Baxter, sister-in-law Joan Johnson, Son-in-law Jeremy Myers and other family members she cant wait to see.

We love you mom. Thank you for everything you have always done for us.
