Obituary

On August 6, 2026 Cole Thygesen, lovingly known as "Cole Smash" was welcomed into the arms of Jesus surrounded by love. His three years on earth were far too short, but they were filled with more love, laughter, and personality than words could ever capture. Born on November 23, 2022 to Cody and Katrina Thygesen, Cole wasted no time making himself known. His parents lovingly called him the "boss of the house" and jokingly, their little terrorist. He was fearless and spirited, with an enormous personality, the greatest smile, and a laugh that was impossible not to love.

Cole adored his family, especially his three big brothers Rhett, Lane, and Beau. He loved playing football with his dad and brothers, riding his bike, watching the Lego Batman Movie, spending time with his buddies and he had a special love for his dog Ash. Of all the things Cole loved, monster trucks held a special place in his heart. His favorite was Sparkle Smash, which inspired his nickname "Cole Smash," and, fittingly, his love of the color pink - a combination that was completely and unapologetically Cole.

He found joy in the simplest of things : riding in dad's truck to the gas station for a soda, pink sprinkle donuts, Popsicles, ice teem, Blippi, fruit snacks, stealing shredded cheese mom needed for dinner, pancakes with seewup, and ham and pinehapple pizza. Cole loved apples, although he preferred taking bites out of them and leaving them in the bowl rather than actually eating one. Cole was deeply loved by Cody and Katie and fiercely adored by Rhett, Lane and, Beau. He was their baby, their little boss, their Cole Smash, and an irreplaceable part of their family.

Cole's life was far too short, but filled with love. He brought joy everywhere he went and left an imprint on the hearts of everyone lucky enough to know him. Cole will be remembered for his wild spirit, his mischievous ways, his huge personality, his beautiful smile, and that unforgettable laugh. He will be remembered every time a monster truck roars, every time someone sees the color pink, every time the Lego Batman Movie plays, and every time you find an apple with a bite taken out of it. His absence will be felt in countless moments, big and small. Yet his family finds comfort knowing he is now in the loving arms of Jesus, where he is forever safe, forever loved, and forever at peace.

Cole was here
