Colette Jacques Baird

Colette Jacques Booth Baird, a woman of boundless energy, love and joy, passed away September 3rd, 2026 at her home in Highland Glen Assisted Living in Utah.

Colette was born on June 3, 1937 in Salt Lake City to Louis and Marguerite Booth. She attended East High School and the University of Utah, and stayed a true Ute to her dying day, although she could occasionally be seen cheering for BYU while her kids attended there. Music was woven deeply into the fabric of Colette’s life. She taught piano lessons for years and was an accomplished pianist and organist.

Colette had a rare gift for growing the biggest, most breathtaking roses in town. Everyone loved Colette – for she loved everyone she associated with. Her superpower truly was being a good friend and neighbor. She approached every day as a gift and every person as someone worthy of love.

Her faith was the most important thing to her. She served faithfully in many callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a deep love for her Savior. She will be greatly missed!

Colette is survived by her Sister Janine Coles, her children Suzanne Clayson, Michele Perdue, Thomas Baird and Catherine Pomeroy, 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, D. Keith Baird, her parents Louis and Marguerite Booth, her sister Nicole Ramjoue, her brother Jacques Booth and her son Steven Baird.

Celebration of Life Services

A visitation and celebration of Colette’s life will be held on:

1. Date: Friday, September 11, 2026
2. Visitation: 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM
3. Celebration of life: 2:00 PM
4. Location: Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Special Olympics Organization
